Hutba: Pouke i poruke iz života Musa’a, a.s.

Hvala Allahu, Gospodaru svih svjetova. Njega hvalimo, od Njega pomoć i oprost tražimo, i molimo Ga da nas uputi i učvrsti na Pravome putu. Neka su salavat i selam na našeg voljenog Poslanika Muhammeda, sallallahu alejhi ve sellem, njegovu porodicu, ashabe i sve one koji slijede njegov put do Sudnjeg dana.

 

Draga braćo i sestre,

 

U proteklim hutbama iz naše serije govorili smo o životima velikih Allahovih poslanika: Nuha, a.s., Ibrahima, a.s., i Junusa, a.s. Svaki od njih ostavio nam je neprocjenjive pouke o vjeri, saburu, iskrenosti i potpunom oslanjanju na Allaha, dž.š.

Danas nastavljamo to blagoslovljeno putovanje kroz kur’anska kazivanja i govorimo o još jednom od najvećih Allahovih poslanika- Musa’u, a.s.

 

Kada čitamo Kur’an, primijetit ćemo da se nijedan poslanik ne spominje toliko često kao Musa, a.s. Njegova životna priča ispunjena je iskušenjima, nepravdom, odgovornošću, borbom za istinu i potpunim oslanjanjem na Allaha. Zato i danas govori svakome ko prolazi kroz životne izazove i traži snagu da ostane na Pravom putu.

 

Braćo i sestre,

 

Musa, a.s., je rođen u vremenu velikog zuluma. Faraon je vladao Egiptom, smatrao sebe božanstvom i naredio ubijanje muške novorođenčadi među Israilćanima. Upravo tada Allah određuje da se rodi Musa, a.s. Njegova majka dobija nadahnuće da ga stavi u sanduk i spusti u rijeku Nil. Zamislite srce majke koja svoje dijete spušta u rijeku, ali potpuno vjeruje Allahovom obećanju.

Allah, dž.š., kaže: „I Mi nadahnusmo Musaovu majku: Doji ga, a kada se za njega pobojiš, spusti ga u rijeku i ne strahuj i ne tuguj. Mi ćemo ti ga vratiti i jednim od poslanika ga učiniti.“ (El-Kasas, 7)

 

Prva velika pouka iz života Musa’a, a.s., jeste da Allah upravlja događajima čak i onda kada mi ne razumijemo Njegovu mudrost.

Koliko puta nam se nešto učini kao gubitak, a kasnije shvatimo da je upravo to bilo dobro za nas? Koliko puta zatvorena vrata postanu početak nečeg boljeg? Koliko puta nas Allah sačuva od nečega što smo svim srcem željeli, a tek kasnije shvatimo da bi nas to odvelo u teškoću? Vjernik zna da Allah vidi ono što mi ne vidimo i da Njegova mudrost nadilazi naše razumijevanje.

 

Draga braćo i sestre,

 

Jedan od najpoznatijih trenutaka u životu Musa’a, a.s., jeste njegov susret sa faraonom. Ljudski gledano, nije imao vojsku, bogatstvo ni političku moć. Ali imao je ono što je važnije od svega, imao je Allaha.

 

Kada mu Allah naređuje da ode faraonu, Musa, a.s., upućuje jednu od najljepših dova u Kur’anu: „Gospodaru moj, proširi moja prsa, olakšaj moj zadatak, odriješi čvor sa moga jezika da bi razumjeli moj govor.“ (Ta-Ha, 25-28)

 

Koliko nam je ova dova potrebna danas? Potrebna je roditeljima, imamima, učiteljima, studentima i svakome ko nosi odgovornost. Musa, a.s., nas uči da nije slabost priznati vlastiti strah. Slabost je suočavati se sa životom bez oslanjanja na Allaha.

 

Braćo i sestre,

 

Možda najpoznatiji trenutak njegovog života dogodio se kada se našao pred Crvenim morem. Iza njega bila je faraonova vojska, a ispred njega more. Narod koji je bio s njim pomislio je da je kraj.

 

Kur’an prenosi njihove riječi: „Stići će nas!“ (Eš-Šu’ara, 61) Ali Musa, a.s., odgovara riječima koje bi svaki vjernik trebao nositi u svom srcu: „Nikako! Gospodar moj je sa mnom i On će mi put pokazati.“ (Eš-Šu’ara, 62)

 

Koliko puta se i mi nađemo između svog „mora“ i svojih problema? Možda su to bolest, finansijske teškoće, porodične brige ili iskušenja naše djece.

 

Musa, a.s., nas uči da nikada ne smijemo izgubiti povjerenje u Allaha. Upravo onda kada ljudi ne vide izlaz, Allah ga stvara. More se otvorilo tek nakon što je Musa, a.s., pokazao potpuno povjerenje u svoga Gospodara.

Nerijetko Allahova pomoć dolazi onda kada iscrpimo sve svoje mogućnosti i shvatimo da se možemo osloniti jedino na Njega. Zato nikada ne očajavajmo. Sve dok je Allah s nama, uvijek postoji izlaz.

 

Draga braćo i sestre,

 

Još jedna velika pouka iz života Musa’a, a.s., jeste važnost zahvalnosti na Allahovim blagodatima. Iako je Allah spasio Israilćane od faraona, otvorio im more i pokazao mnoga čuda, oni su se vrlo brzo počeli žaliti i zaboravljati blagodati koje su dobili.

Koliko često tražimo ono što nemamo, a zaboravljamo ono što imamo? Koliko puta se žalimo na sitnice, a ne zahvaljujemo Allahu na zdravlju, porodici, imanu i sigurnosti?

 

Živimo u Kanadi, u zemlji u kojoj većina nas ima sigurnost, krov nad glavom, mogućnost školovanja, zdravstvenu zaštitu i slobodu da prakticiramo svoju vjeru. To su blagodati koje milioni ljudi širom svijeta nemaju.

Čovjek se lahko navikne na blagodati i počne ih uzimati zdravo za gotovo. Musa, a.s., nas podsjeća da zahvalnost čuva blagodati, a nezahvalnost ih može udaljiti od nas.

 

Braćo i sestre,

 

Priča o Musa’u, a.s., također nas uči da put istine nije uvijek lagahan. Čak i nakon što je spasio svoj narod, suočavao se sa njihovim prigovorima i neposlušnošću. To nas podsjeća da rad za vjeru, porodicu i zajednicu uvijek zahtijeva strpljenje.

Roditelji će imati izazove sa djecom. Imami će imati izazove u džematu. Supružnici će imati izazove u braku. Oni koji pozivaju dobru neće uvijek biti prihvaćeni niti shvaćeni. Ali kroz sabur, dovu i oslanjanje na Allaha dolazi uspjeh.

 

Draga braćo i sestre,

 

Život Musa’a, a.s., pokazuje nam da Allah može uzdići čovjeka iz najtežih okolnosti. Dijete spušteno u rijeku iz straha za njegov život postalo je jedan od najvećih Allahovih poslanika.

 

To je poruka nade za svakoga od nas. Bez obzira koliko teško izgledala naša situacija, Allah je kadar da je promijeni. Bez obzira koliko veliki bili naši problemi, Allahova pomoć je veća. Bez obzira koliko tamna bila noć kroz koju prolazimo, Allah može donijeti novu zoru.

 

Braćo i sestre, priča o Musa’u, a.s., uči nas da vjerujemo Allahovoj mudrosti, da Mu se obraćamo dovom kada nas je strah, da budemo zahvalni na blagodatima i da nikada ne gubimo nadu u Njegovu pomoć. Uči nas da najveća snaga ne dolazi iz bogatstva, položaja ili moći, nego iz iskrene veze sa Allahom.

 

Ako iz današnje hutbe ponesemo samo četiri poruke, neka to budu ove: vjeruj Allahovoj mudrosti kada ne razumiješ ono što ti se događa; obrati Mu se dovom kada osjetiš strah; čuvaj Njegove blagodati zahvalnošću; i nikada ne gubi nadu u Njegovu pomoć, ma koliko iskušenje bilo veliko.

 

Molimo Allaha Uzvišenog da nam podari povjerenje kakvo je imao Musa, a.s., da nam proširi prsa kada nas pritisnu životne brige, da nam podari sabur u iskušenjima, zahvalnost u blagodatima i čvrst iman sve do našeg susreta s Njim. Amin, ja Rabbe-l-‘alemin.

 

Lessons and messages from the life of Musa, a.s.

 

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. We praise Him, seek His help and forgiveness, and ask Him to guide us and keep us firm upon the Straight Path. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, his noble family, his companions, and all those who follow his path until the Day of Judgment.

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

In the previous khutbahs of this series, we spoke about the lives of some of Allah’s great prophets: Nuh, Ibrahim and Yunus, peace be upon them all. Each of them left us priceless lessons about faith, patience, sincerity, and complete reliance upon Allah.

Today, we continue this blessed journey through the Qur’anic stories and speak about another of the greatest messengers of Allah: Musa, a.s.

 

When we read the Qur’an, we notice that no prophet is mentioned as often as Musa, peace be upon him. His name and his life story appear in many places throughout the Book of Allah. This is not without reason. Through the life of Musa, peace be upon him, Allah teaches us lessons that every believer needs, regardless of where or when they live.

 

His life was filled with trials, injustice, fear, responsibility, struggle for the truth, and complete reliance upon Allah. That is why his story continues to speak to everyone who faces the challenges of life and searches for the strength to remain upon the Straight Path.

 

Brothers and sisters,

 

Musa, a.s., was born during a time of great oppression. Pharaoh ruled Egypt, considered himself a god, and brutally oppressed the Children of Israel. He was so afraid of losing his power that he ordered the killing of their newborn sons.

It was during this terrifying time that Allah decreed the birth of Musa, a.s.. His mother received inspiration from Allah to place him in a small box and cast him into the River Nile. Imagine the heart of a mother placing her own child into a river, not knowing what would happen, yet trusting the promise of Allah.

 

Allah says: “And We inspired the mother of Musa: Nurse him, but when you fear for him, put him then into the river, and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and make him one of the messengers.” (Al-Qasas, 7)

 

The first great lesson from the life of Musa, a.s., is that Allah controls all events, even when we do not understand His wisdom.

How many times does something happen in our lives that appears to be a loss, only for us to realize later that it was actually good for us? How often do closed doors become the beginning of something better? How often does Allah protect us from something we deeply wanted, and only later do we understand that it would have brought us hardship? A believer knows that Allah sees what we cannot see and that His wisdom is far greater than our understanding.

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

One of the most well-known moments in the life of Musa, a.s., was his confrontation with Pharaoh. Allah sent him to the most powerful ruler of his time, a man who claimed lordship over the people. From a human point of view, Musa, a.s., had no chance. He had no army, no wealth, and no political power. But he had something more important than all of that: he had Allah.

 

When Allah commanded him to go to Pharaoh, Musa, a.s., felt fear. At that moment, he made one of the most beautiful du‘as in the Qur’an: “My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task for me, and untie the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech.” (Ta-Ha, 25-28)

 

How much do we need this du‘a today? Parents need it when speaking to their children. Imams need it when standing upon the minbar. Teachers need it in the classroom. Students need it before an exam. Businesspeople need it before an important meeting. Every person carrying responsibility needs this du‘a.

Musa, a.s., teaches us that admitting our fears is not weakness. True weakness is facing life without relying upon Allah.

 

Brothers and sisters,

 

Perhaps the most famous moment of his life occurred when he stood before the Red Sea. Behind him was the army of Pharaoh, and in front of him was the sea. The people who were with him thought that everything was over. The Qur’an records their words: “Indeed, we are about to be overtaken!” (Ash-Shu‘ara, 61)

 

But Musa, peace be upon him, answered with words that every believer should carry in their heart: “Never! Indeed, my Lord is with me, and He will guide me.” (Ash-Shu‘ara, 62)

 

How many times do we find ourselves caught between our own “sea” and our own problems? Perhaps it is illness. Perhaps it is financial hardship. Perhaps it is family trouble, or a difficult situation involving our children. In such moments, Shaytan whispers to us that there is no way out.

 

Musa, peace be upon him, teaches us never to lose trust in Allah. At the very moment when people see no solution, Allah creates one. The sea opened only after Musa, peace be upon him, demonstrated complete trust in his Lord.

Very often, Allah’s help comes when we have exhausted our own abilities and finally realize that our true reliance must be upon Him alone. Therefore, never lose hope. As long as Allah is with us, there is always a way forward.

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

Another great lesson from the life of Musa, peace be upon him, is the importance of gratitude for Allah’s blessings. Although Allah saved the Children of Israel from Pharaoh, opened the sea for them, and showed them many miracles, they soon began to complain and forget the blessings they had received.

How often do we focus on what we do not have and forget what we already possess? How many times do we complain about small things while failing to thank Allah for our health, our families, our faith, and our safety?

 

We live in Canada, a country in which most of us enjoy security, shelter, access to education, healthcare, and the freedom to practise our religion. These are blessings that millions of people around the world do not have. However, people quickly become accustomed to blessings and begin to take them for granted. Musa, peace be upon him, reminds us that gratitude preserves blessings, while ingratitude may cause them to be taken away.

 

Brothers and sisters,

 

The story of Musa, peace be upon him, also teaches us that the path of truth is not always easy. Even after saving his people, he continued to face their complaints, disobedience, and weakness. This reminds us that working for our faith, our families, and our community always requires patience.

 

Parents will face challenges with their children. Imams will face challenges within the community. Husbands and wives will face challenges in marriage. Those who call others toward goodness will not always be accepted or understood. But through patience, du‘a, and reliance upon Allah, success will come.

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

The life of Musa, peace be upon him, shows us that Allah can raise a person from the most difficult circumstances. A child who was placed into a river out of fear for his life became one of the greatest messengers of Allah. This is a message of hope for every one of us. No matter how difficult our situation may appear, Allah is able to change it. No matter how great our problems may seem, the help of Allah is greater. No matter how dark the night we are passing through may be, Allah can bring a new dawn.

 

Brothers and sisters, the story of Musa, peace be upon him, teaches us to trust the wisdom of Allah, to turn to Him in du‘a when we are afraid, to remain grateful for His blessings, and never to lose hope in His help. It teaches us that true strength does not come from wealth, status, or worldly power. True strength comes from a sincere connection with Allah.

 

Let us leave today with four clear lessons: Trust Allah’s wisdom when you do not understand what is happening in your life. Turn to Allah in du‘a when fear enters your heart. Protect Allah’s blessings through gratitude. And never lose hope in His help, no matter how great the trial may be.

 

We ask Allah Almighty to grant us the trust that Musa, peace be upon him, had. We ask Him to expand our hearts when the burdens of life become heavy, to grant us patience during trials, gratitude during times of ease, and firm faith until the day we meet Him. Amin, ya Rabb al-‘alamin.
