Kongresom Bošnjaka Sjeverne Amerike a uz sponzorstvo Marie Pearson,
odbornice u Skupština grada Hamiltona, gradonačelnik Hamiltona Fred
Eisenberger je uvrstio Hamilton u obilježavanje Svjetskog dana bijelih
traka.
trake. Ramić je još jednom uputio protest protiv anticivilizacijskog
postupanja prijedorskog političkog establišmenta, na čelu sa
gradonačelnikom Markom Pavićem, koji kontinuirano dehumanizira
preživjele žrtve genocida. “Općinske vlasti u Prijedoru do današnjeg
i lokalnih sudova.
kojih nema pomirenja i sretnije zajedničke budućnosti svih građana
Prijedora i BiH.”, naglasio je Ramić.

The city of Hamilton joined the commemoration of World Wide White Armband Day”
At the initiative of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada,
in cooperation with the Congress of North American Bosniaks and with
the sponsorship of Marie Pearson, councilor of the city of Hamilton,
Mayor Fred Eisenberger is included Hamilton in commemoration of World
Wide White Armband Day. On a prominent electronic sign located
outside of City Hall is posting message recognising the May 31. World
Wide White Armband Day
“We support World Wide White Armband Day”
Professor Emir Ramic, director of the Institute ya Research of
Genocide, Canada thanked to the councilors of the City of Hamilton to
support World Wide White Armband Day to commemorate the genocide that
took place in Prijedor when the self-proclaimed Republika Srpska
applied the very same method used by the Nazis, who forced Jews to
wear armbands and stars. That was the first time since the 1939 Nazi
proclamations which demanded all Polish Jews wear yellow armbands,
including a blue Star of David on their sleeves. That symbol – at that
time – identified membership of a particular ethnic/religious group
that was to be exterminated. Ramic has once again sent a protest
against uncivilized conduct of Prijedor political establishment, led
by Mayor Marko Pavic, who continues to dehumanise the survivors of
genocide. “We ask the world’s leaders and the most important
international political, academic and judicial organizations to assist
in resolving this emergency, through additional efforts to seek the
unconditional compliance with this just struggle of Prijedor’s
surviving victims and witnesses of aggression and genocide; for
memory; truth and justice – without which there will be no
reconciliation or happier common future in Prijedor and Bosnia and
Herzegovina”, Ramic said.
